The E400 MMCs I've used have been the least cold, but on both of those I was sat on the engine. I reached out to Stagecoach after boarding 27181 on Sunday at 4pm, and they gave a generic answer along the lines of 'it might not have warmed up yet' - despite the fact it had been in service for 7 hours. 

In my experience this seems relatively common with Stagecoach vehicles, the E400s I used at Bluebird were equally baltic in the winter. 

For those who commute using Stagecoach more than I do, is this normal? Or have I just been ridiculously unlucky with the 8 vehicles I've been on this week?

I know I have to agree with you.I get on the 40/39 every morning(mon-Fri) and it is freezing.Withing this whole week only 1 time the heater has been on and the rest of the week it has been freezing.To be honest I think its a problem with Stagecoach imo because I take the Q3 in the afternoon and always the same driver everyday and he always turns on the heater.IMO stagecoach really need to sort it out because passengers are just left freezing for a long time.And no you have not been ridiculously unlucky don’t worry it’s definety got to do with Stagecoach.
