I've never seen anything concrete saying that or I've missed it if it's been said.
Not sure what they really need them for since they're getting their own electrics soon which will displace the oldest singles out.
Sunderland seems the more wise choice on paper to replace the remaining gas buses. The routes they run on 3, 4, 20 etc are strong routes and the fact 4 of the E buses have moved out would suggest these aren't seeing the rest out.
i don't think slatyford has had any work done for chargers due to being the oldest depot so even if they receive the electrics they don't seem to have a way to operate them,
so it would make sense that the Sunderland electrics displace gas buses at Sunderland,
the slatyford batch to temporarily operate from either Sunderland or Stockton to get them in service,
if at Sunderland they can withdraw any non CAZ-compliant vehicles to Stockton and any CAZ- compliant vehicles to slatyford allowing the oldest buses at each of those depots to be withdrawn/cascaded to wherever they may be required,
then when Stockton start to receive their own batch the MMCs go to slatyford allowing the older vehicles to cascade within the division to start ousting non compliant vehicles.
hopefully work starts at each of the depots soon if it hasnt already and then each batch can go to where they were originally bidded for
