so it would make sense that the Sunderland electrics displace gas buses at Sunderland,
the slatyford batch to temporarily operate from either Sunderland or Stockton to get them in service,
if at Sunderland they can withdraw any non CAZ-compliant vehicles to Stockton and any CAZ- compliant vehicles to slatyford allowing the oldest buses at each of those depots to be withdrawn/cascaded to wherever they may be required,
then when Stockton start to receive their own batch the MMCs go to slatyford allowing the older vehicles to cascade within the division to start ousting non compliant vehicles.
hopefully work starts at each of the depots soon if it hasnt already and then each batch can go to where they were originally bidded for
Stockton are due to start receiving their ZEBRA-funded batch anytime soon - so no need to cascade anything south other than to Hartlepool but then I can see their Dart replacements being Stockton’s trio of E200s.
Work is well ongoing at Stockton - having dug up and laid the cables around the edge of the yard before Christmas, they are now in the process of laying them down the middle of the yard in the main parking area, meaning it’s a tight squeeze getting everything parked up on a night - hence the evening boards presently being a hodge-podge of MANs and Deckers rather than the MMCs and E300s as the drivers are currently keeping the same bus all shift instead of taking it back to the depot and then taking a fresh one after their break (Stockton’s allocating has already been tweaked to have the evening work on separate boards bar a small handful as they’re not entirely sure if the Yutongs will have the range to do say a board that leaves the depot at 0545 in the morning and returns at 2346).
