Ultimately, what this points to is a lack of trust between those on the ground and senior management. Engineering grumbles are not uncommon in the transport industry, but are usually resolved before any escalation
There are obviously staff that feel like they are not listened to or not taken seriously by those above, otherwise they wouldn't be speaking to the BBC
