What's funny they're pissing away money on stuff like this rather than asking bus drivers what the hold ups actually are. Those being bus links with traffic lights with no bus priority. Southwick Road lights only get set off by cars going onto Keir Hardie Way, so are unusable on an evening. The lights behind Southwick Police station are equally useless. The lights outside of the Omniplex cinema prioritise cars building up traffic to sit at a red light instead of giving buses some more time to get onto John Street. 

Southwick Road and Bedford Street would do a lot more than improving the A690 and Chester Road, which as pointed out already the only problem is the Broadway roundabout really. That would be a great place to give some bus priority signalling.
