The issue with Slatyford is they can’t get the chargers installed nothing to do with noise. The only issue with noise is they’d need to take the roof off the depot to allow for the heat of the chargers to escape but taking the roof off with diesel buses creates too much noise so the plan is to rebuild the depot and put the buses on the other side where engineering and the offices are now so they’re away from the houses. Plus an electrical cable needs to laid from near Kenton School to Slatyford depot and its northern power grid that are having issues with that hence why the 18 due for us got diverted. Apparently Slatyford will get some later this year when the depot is done, last heard work was starting March 2025 but it’s all gone quiet.
