Don't want to derail the other thread but using BSIP funds aswell I'd probably be tempted to mix it up rather than going to the past and doing something like:
which would be:
342: Every 30 Minutes, Wallsend to Killingworth, Hourly to Kingston Park
353: Every 30 Minutes, North Shields to Killingworth, Hourly to Cramlington
354: Withdrawn
355: Every 30 Minutes, Newcastle to Forest Hall
356: Hourly, Newcastle to Whitley Bay via Marsden Village
357: Hourly, Newcastle to Whitley Bay via Westminister Avenue
It would make a good little network in North Tyneside imo with the rest of the network being the same. It's not too indifferent to now really. The 355 whenever I see it is doing well, so adding the 354 numbers into it - why not try and grow a corridor for once. Wallsend to Killingworth and Whitley Bay to Killingworth should be every 30 minutes regardless anyway - hourly services are useless.
What you do with 354 who knows, maybe extend the Stagecoach 6/7 to Killingworth and open links to Quorum from the West side of Newcastle without having to double back via Newcastle.
