The 8/25/81/82 mess really needs sorting out properly. What you do who knows but it really needs to be one or two routes which do the same route all the time. It's really confusing for the average punter imo especially more so that the 8 runs on a Sunday on the full route now, so I'm unsure why the 81 exists at all to Sunderland tbh.
7 - Sunderland and Washington to Gateshead via Sunderland University, Royal Hospital, Waterview Park, Teal Farm, Barmston Court, Washington Village, Washington, Lambton, Ayton, Barley Mow, Portobello, Birtley, Eighton Banks, Wrekenton, Harlow Green, Allerdene and Low Fell
8/8A - Stanley to Sunderland via Beamish Museum, Grange Villa, Pelton, Chester-le-Street, Birtley (8A), Barley Mow (8A) , Portobello (8A), Ayton (8A), Lambton (8A) Rickleton (8), Harraton (8), Glebe (8), Washington Galleries, Washington Village (8A), Barmston Court (8A), Waterview Park, Teal Farm, Castletown (8) and Hylton Riverside Park (8) or Hastings Hill (8A) and Royal Hospital (8A)
- Service 81 Re-Numbered 7 and will operate Hourly Monday to Sunday across the full route offering direct links 7 days a week, route amended in Sunderland to operate via Chester Road via University and Royal Hospital.
- Service 82 Re-Numbered 8A and will operate Hourly Monday to Sunday across the full route offering direct links 7 days a week and will operate at combined frequency of Every 20 Minutes Monday to Saturday, Every 30 Minutes alongside service 8.
- Sunday Timetables would be revised timings wise to avoid duplication currently seen on shared sections of the current 8/81 (Washington-Sunderland) and 28B/81 (Harlow Green-Gateshead) so that each service runs Hourly on opposite sides of the half hour in order to offer an improved and more sustainable service.
22 - Newcastle to Chester-le-Street via Gateshead, Low Fell, Allerdene, Harlow Green, Wrekenton, Eighton Banks, Birtley, Ouston, Perkinsville, Pelton, Pelton Fell, and Waldridge.
- Route revised to no longer serve Portobello and Barley Mow and instead turning right down Fell Bank into Birtley onto Station Lane to Ouston taking a new route to Chester-Le-Street offering new connections to local villages in CLS/Birtley Area to Newcastle on an Hourly Basis.
