What on earth are you talking about.
1) The system carries far fewer people now than it used to.
2) We’re now transitioning to a fleet that can carry more passengers than the old trains could.
3) Once the new fleet is fully rolled out the system-wide frequency of trains will be increased thanks to the South Shields branch being dual-tracked a few years back (Metro Flow Project).
How on earth when considering the three factors above can you believe the system won’t be able to cope better now?
