(Yesterday, 8:06 pm)Shrek wrote Talk seems to be that Ashington are getting 12 of the new MMC which will help. They will need their engineering department to improve, but that was never going to happen overnight and would need time for the new people to get in, understand what they're working with and formulate their plan. Word to local councillors from Arriva HQ seems to be they hope to see major improvements in the new year. Fingers crossed for the passengers that is the case.
It does seem that there is genuine investment and planning starting to be seen at ANE now. Whether it results in the required improvement we'll find out in the coming months.
Aye that's what I heard, with 13 to Blyth - assuming on paper for the 306/308.
But surely if Ashington are getting 12, then the 12 17 Plate E400MMC's leave then they're kinda in the same boat, since the E400's are the real problem and I can't see them getting better any time soon. They're desperate to be chucked onto some easy pottering around some estates somewhere but there's realistically nothing in the North East like that.
It's a shame the 17 Plates are leaving tbh but I get things in Yorkshire are dire aswell.
