I think when they first started, it was a bit of a marketing gimmick, but I dont think it is needed now.
Must admit I was kinda thinking the same, to be honest. The niche has gone now a bit imo.
The Arriva ones for Blyth are in standard livery aswell I believe so it's only GNE going down the seperate brand for them.
Truthfully does anyone care either really? Like if I was getting a train I couldn't give a toss what it's powered by tbh. I do care about the rock hard seats that the IEP trains have though which imo makes them superior to the HST/Mark 4's.
