I do also think the bus route as a rail replacement could also be popular for example the Metro station rail replacement is the route however it stops at all stops en route .. meaning you can get the metro and possibly use the bus to go two stops etc
eg... byker metro to manors you could use the metro then use the bus if you say lived at the tanners arms pub its in the middle of the stations
