It also makes clear that any vehicles that are mandated to have this equipment, operators should have a procedure to manage and quickly deal with any inoperable equipment as soon as possible. I don't believe that it'll be sufficient to allow a bus to run around for days on end with a non-working system, or worse, one that gives out incorrect information.
