Quite surprised by this following the Wright StreetAir debacle, would've thought they'd of gotten Volvo BZL MCV SD's.
Given the delays in the delivery of their 98 BZL Deckers (the first examples were delivered 6 months late at the earliest), it would appear they are looking at other options for further electric replacements. Incidentally, the batch of Kites are reportedly for Central for the 36 to replace the original batch of 7900s (1-10 - which are already now withdrawn with the exception of 1 and 2 which remain in use covering for the recent spat of accident-damaged vehicles delaying cascades from other depots into Central, as well as the late arrival of one of Central's BZLs)
