The TUPE way could be possible but nothing against Gateshead Central but I really don’t fancy working for them so that’s out the question. The routes definitely going now I’m sure the deadline has now passed for them to change their mind etc I just need to figure out what I want to do.

At the very least, the only thing I will say, is don't do anything too hasty.
You've got the potential to get 10/15 weeks worth of pay (tax free) to think about.
If you're made redundant on the Friday and then just happen to start a new job on the Monday, even better!
I'm far from a professional and I'm not offering professional advice, but please get some proper advice if redundancy is going to be a potential route.
