I have just roughly worked out on Google Maps that the 685 route is about 60 miles give or take each way, and that means 120mins for a round trip. I just think that is not feasible for an electric bus. Even if every single journey on the 685 has come off other routes I just think it is a fantasy to say so. I mean, come on we can't even have Yutongs/Voltras/Angels from GNE or Yutongs (SNE) doing a full day's service on "easy" routes...
Don't get me wrong - it would be nice, but the technology isn't there...and even if it was privatisation means it will be more expensive for all and implemented ineffectively (as per everything regarding Public Transport in the UK - unless you live in Manchester/London)
