Ideally these would allow the complete withdrawal of the 14x 360xx series Enviro 200s, aswell as a few of the tired 61 plates. Also one would assume they would be more suitable for the likes of their Middlesbrough 1 & Durham 59 services over the Enviro 200s currently used.
I'm unsure if they will get E400 19680 back, although from observations the 1s from Middlesbrough do tend to get full, but never seem to leave anybody at Middlesbrough that I've seen. Possibly an every 20 minute frequency to Middlesbrough during peak time may be more suitable, utilising one of the Seaton Carew short runs?
I believe since the fleet has somewhat been sorted out at Hartlepool, their fleet comprises completely of E200s (36081 - 36094, 36461 - 36467, 36965, 36968*, 36969, 36970, 36977 - 36980, 37309, 37310 & 37311).
* - 36968 seems to have been off the road since September...
It seems that Hartlepool are going to be getting more displaced 364XX & 369XX from Slatyford, Shields, and Sunderland to replace the 360XX buses
The 1 is always packed on an evening with college students heading back home, there is a need for more capacity on the 1
