The outcome I believe was to just keep the current X22 route to Stockton.
The consultation didn’t happen in the end. Was taken down rather quickly when local councillors (the same ones that complained about not having a link to Darlington) kicked off massively that people would have to change buses at Sedgefield to reach Stockton and North Tees Hospital. At risk of causing more chaos. An easy fix would be to have the 59 run Hartlepool-Darlington instead of Hartlepool-Durham. Trimdon would loose a direct service to Durham but would gain direct buses back to Aycliffe and Darlington
Issue with that is Durham CC (/NECA) pay for the 59, and I can’t imagine they’d want to fund a bus to Darlington (TVCA)
