To be fair GoAhead are likely in the wrong here as crap as City Transport are.
When a contract transfers to a new employer TUPE applies, there's no buts to it as far as I'm aware, as long as the staff were employed purely for the needs of the contract which they appear to be.
The last bit is the only questionable bit but CT hired them for the 700/701 as far as I'm aware.
