It’s certainly going to be interesting, from what I understand Reform offered little in the way of training or support for what are critical roles.
I think we’ll see Kim dial up her efforts, she’s got an election in 2028 and she has to be seen as delivering, so whether it’s Leamside or franchising, NECA will play a big role.
Personally. I think NECA needs new blood and new ideas and whether that is reform, Lib Dem, green or independent, I hope it does come. If we’re honest, Kim should have sacked Gannon over the flyover debacle.
The region needs to stop with its tit for tat, embrace the Manchester model as a whole (wider than transport) and move forward as one with Newcastle as its core capital and other towns and cities feeding in with their own unique offering instead of this current parochial infighting nonsense
