Concord was listed on bus timetables as Concord as early as 22 November 1973, which was when a number of services were rerouted through the then Town Centre (at the same time, Spout Lane was closed which necessitated a rerouting of buses). A bus timetable guide from the time refers to the Central Bus Station in the new Town Centre and the bus station in Concord is listed as Concord. On the same date, most bus services were also renumbered.
