Yes, but those passengers do need to return from the coast. An earlier departure from Whitby and tweaking the route would open up a possibility for new passengers too.
I’m just surprised they’ve never given it a go, same as they’ve never tried running south of Scarborough to serve the holiday parks or Bridlington in summer.
When the X94 was introduced some years ago, it was a success (albeit only a variation of the X93), but it does show its worth giving something new a try.
