By car, it's just as easy to get to, and unless I want to buy a kitchen from Wren, a bed from Dreams, or a sofa from SCS, (the latter two are also present at Metrocentre) it pretty much has the same shops, with the added bonus of Aldi and Food Warehouse too.
Yeah not surprised, we sometimes head down from up in SE Northumberland for similar reasons as it has everything there together and it's easy to park unlike Cramlington.
Obviously I don't expect buses from Derwentside but imo it's a really badly connected place, we have hundreds of buses going to dives like Stanley because it was a popular place 30 year ago but really Kingston Park has much as as anywhere else and it's not that bad to walk around.
You've got your supermarkets, you've got your Home Bargains and Poundland for you bargains, you've got Superdrug and Boots for your pharmacy needs, you've got Next, Tesco, TK Maxx and Matalan for your clothes, and you've got a few cafe's, Nando's and McDonalds for food. It's arguably everything you need really.
Number of buses from the West End of Newcastle - zero. The Metro always seems busy aswell from there.
