To be fair it's a route of two halves. The West Allotment - Newcastle side of the route is popular but the other half is pretty dead most the time; especially the 350 around Monkseaton as it has little purpose (long Metro or duplicate 57/57A).
Surprised no-one hasn't tried to take on the Newcastle - West Allotment chunk on commercially though tbf, especially with all the new house building around there.
