Not sure how long it will take for NGP roads to be fully adopted. But if they do, could be a chance for Arriva to try the following:
- 43 - Every 20 minutes Newcastle to Cramlington only
- 44 - Every 20 minutes
- 45 - Every 20 minutes
- 46 - Every 20 minutes - basically the 'old' Q3 covering Great Park & Brunton Park
All combine every 5 minutes between Brunton Park and Newcastle.
45 combines every 10 minutes with the 44, and also runs 5 minutes before the 43 to take the load of the 43 between Newcastle and Wideopen Travellers Rest.
Cramlington to Morpeth (if GNE took the option) replaced by extended 353 every half-hour if something could be done with the 354.
Arriva ain't doing anything but assuming franchising here you'd be better just restoring the 46/46A and extend it to the Great Park proper doing an anti clockwise/clockwise loop and having a 5 minute service like that instead imo.
If you withdrew the Q3/X46/49 and sent the 35 via Jesmond, you've got 1 less bus and a much better frequency for pretty much everyone really.
