I do find it crazy how it seems to work in the bus industry though. Every profession I've worked in you generally give 4-6 weeks notice period. From what I understand from one bus company, drivers literally walk out in a week.
There is an argument that it's the poorly managed companies that get hit by mass walk outs, but at the same time, you also can't blame companies trying to cut costs in their estate if it makes sense.
