Obviously, again, this is a net negative for both depots as the Newcastle routes get stuck with inadequate stock.I know Arriva have just invested a lot of money in new buses but sending away the 17 plate E400MMC’s was not the right call. They’re going to constantly have issues with the CAZ with them older Gemini 2’s
Speaking of which, just checked the allocations of the X21/22 today. Out of the 12 duties, 7 are saloon operated. Not exactly an appealing prospect for punters given 3 of those are 15 years old and have never seen a re-trim. I'd imagine there'll be more saloons on shortly too, as 7401/3 and 7527 have been allocated to the X21 and those three aren't exactly reliable.
