I wouldn't say its a waste. We get good loads out of Middlesbrough on those evening 5s, and it keeps the evening service the same as the daytime service. The (20?) seater Bluebirds used on the 707/708 wouldn't cope with all of the connecting passengers anyway, and can you imagine connections working?? We have enough problems on that last one that connects in Skelton!
