There's huge competition by Stagecoach North East in Sunderland, so why isn't there a £1.00 flat fare in Sunderland?
I know people up there who pay to use the Hunters service, but that's by the by.
As soon as GNE ramp their prices up, I have a fare idea that Stanley and/or TGM will see a gap in the market, due to their lower operating costs and overheads.
As for Sunderland, you know yourself how low some of the fares are and have been - just look at the Simplicity price promise or their tickets which can work out under £1 a trip from Vicarage Est.
