How about GNE do an X8?
Newcastle - Gateshead - Heworth - Peterlee Bus Station - Wingate - Hart - Hartlepool University Hospital - Hartlepool
Could co-ordinate it to run every 30 mins with the X7 between Peterlee and Station Town.
