And if GNE tried to seriously compete in Hartlepool, Stagecoach could run them out of Town with very little effort.
There may be a market there for interurban services out of Hartlepool i.e. to Newcastle or something quicker to Sunderland, but let's face it, GNE will never be able to start a competitive suburban network in Hartlepool or Teesside pretty much for the reasons cbma06 has stated
