GNE didn't really fought of Arriva in that area of 754/726, wasn't the Arriva 726 langley park to chester-le-street secured from DCC because GNE withdrew commercially, and the 754 was only put on so the driver can get back to Durham for the relieve.
I'm not sure if the Arriva 726 was secured when Arriva ran it, its now run by DCC.

I remember the 754 operated between school runs and also interworked with service 50 to Brandon and both the 50/754 carried fresh air most of the time.
