As I lived at the top of the bank, it didn't affect me as much, but that did mean that I didn't get to see what was at the bottom of the bank.

It tended to be the Fridays where the tailback extended beyond the entrance to the cemetery closest to The Wavendon. Off memory, I'm sure it was a Friday when a tailback at about 16:30 extended all the way down to the previous bus stop (not far after the church/hospital).

I know Fridays tended to be the day when Stagecoach's service 8 was late too - so perhaps was due to an increased flow of traffic on Holborn Bank near the Round Robin, which would in turn affect the traffic flow on Chester Road, as the traffic from Holborn would join at the roundabout.
