''Diamond'' services 43/44/44A - the former 'Diamond' bus company who operated in the area.
''Red Kite' services 45/46 - the famous Red Kite birds that can be seen on the route.
''Angel'' service 21 - passes the sight of the world-famous Angel of the North.
''The Waggonway'' services 28/28A/28B - runs along a former Waggonway route.
But that said, you do have a few that I sometimes can't get my head around. ''Fab56'' service 56, ''Fab57'' service 57, etc, obviously competition winners.
