The brand is an established brand. If brands are created to encourage customers to recognise a brand rather than a route number, then it'd make little sense in changing the name of the brand just because the route has slightly differed. On the most part it remains the original iirc.
Fair enough if it's trying to create a link with the C2C route, but I'd hope it'd retain it's cycle friendly offering if this were the case.
