Perhaps the services at South Shields which will receive these Enviro200s are more profitable than those at Hartlepool?
Must be noted that the Enviro200s South Shields will receive are manufactured by ADL, potentially replacing MAN Enviro200s. The examples Hartlepool have at present are manufactured by MAN. Hartlepool having practically an entire fleet of MAN Enviro200s assists with depot standardisation and will allow greater leniency with allocations.
