(21 Jan 2015, 8:51 pm)Malarkey wrote Thought I'd have a little trip up Seaham this morning, was a waste of time to be honest as the few photos I took came out blurry, but whilst out on this little trip I spotted this "Go Wear Buses" Bus Stop Sign, something which really should no longer be about, this sign along another situated across the road are positioned on Stockton Road (Glebe Estate/Four Horses) in line with Seaham Industrial Estate.

This then got me to thinking would it be worth getting in touch with Durham County Council in regards to the signs and seeing if they be kind enough to give them to an Enthusiast like myself, and then replace them with the correct signs, anyone have an idea how to go about doing this as I haven't the foggiest of ideas.
The only way that this would be certain of working would be if the existing sign was 'removed' then DCC would be required to replace it.

Is the telephone number still correct?

The Telephone Number on the Timetable for DCC was 0300 268524, And the Timetable was dated as of 26/1/2015 obviously been put in ahead of Service Changes so I would therefore assume that the Number is correct.

Next to bus stops but not actual flags on a lamppost, it's literally a sticker on the bottom of some lampposts with a flag on a pole too at the stop, think there is still a few round Aycliffe Ind Estate on the 5/5A route.

The telephone number on the Go Wear bus stop sign is 0870 608 2 608

That number is for Traveline according to Google, which is why I looked at the Timetable to find the one for DCC which is the 0300 Number I noted in my previous post.

So why therefore put 5332 in Blaydon Racers Livery then, as that means the PVR is now 11.

As its a branded Blaydon Racers for services 49, 49B and 49C, it is a branded spare for those services and will without a shadow of a doubt will appear on other services.

See here.

Ah the FPF are continuing, don't you worry your little heads about that.
I will maybe still continue to join in with the posts about the FPF, but it can get a little annoying to see a passionate, honest campaign - borne out of frustration at an inadequate transport system, mentioned on a daily basis.
Maybe I need an Alistair Campbell type spin doctor to assist, who knows.

The empty pop bottles will continue to be discarded across vehicles. Newspapers will be scrumpled up and old people will continue to pretend to be confused with the pass readers.

One day, the people will Fencehouses will have a bus service they can be proud of.

(21 Jan 2015, 7:35 am)Dan wrote Well we know the two purple Versas won't be used on the X66, given that citaro5284 has previously said that the articulated Mercedes Citaros are to be (temporarily) replaced by four corporate liveried vehicles in the existing fleet...

The S1 service is not commercially operated. It is ran under contract to intu, and as 8266 (along with 8261 - 8265) has recently been fitted with Euro 5 Eminox modifications, there would be no difference (other than a few seats) between allocating 8266 and a Versa, so I can't really see why they'd upgrade the S1?

Stanley has 4 red Omnicities 5250, 5253, 5254 & 5273.

Percy Main has 4 red Omnicities  5247, 5248, 5249 & 5274.

Washington has 4 red Scania 4961, 4962, 4963 & 4964.

Let the guessing begin !!!!
Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2015
All the omnicities are required at that depot as they are the main allocations for routes. The 4 buses will probably be riverside based.

Or the Citaros that will be left after the Sunderland changes?

Would make sense. But i say all omnicities are required, would they be much use anyway? they only have approx. 38 seats anyway? (im using tapatalk here so i am probably very wrong).

They have more than a Citaro - a Omnicity had 41 seats, while a Citaro has 40.

Oh yeah lol - I forgot Tongue
In that case, the two Versas could go to Washington, as well as a Cadet, to replace the four Solars to Riverside.

Merc 5327 is back at Deptford following repaint. Unsure whether it's on Silver Arrows or Laser today, but two (one being 5326) are on the 2A/2C while the other is on 35s.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2015
The fact 5332 has been branded for Blaydon Racers may suggest that another one (worst looking one?) will be treated to a repaint and used on X66 as a bendy replacement? Not sure where you would get 3 others from though
