The Eden of West Auckland

RE: The Eden of West Auckland
Until next July - SB07BUS is just a loan from JSB Travel
The Primo must be off the road again as the white Merc that's normally on the Tesco bus has been on the ASDA free bus.

Meanwhile V999EWV was on the Tesco free bus yesterday:

Finally decided to sample the Newton Aycliffe Town Service 17 this afternoon.

Firstly Solo SB07 JSB was operating the service today which looks better than that Merc that has been on here recently. The driver looked smartly dressed and pleasant and drove the bus slowly and smoothly around the town.

Quite pleased with the service that I was given today, it's just unfortunate that it doesn't run round my part of the town and means I have to continue to use Arriva's lousy service 5/5A.

The 17 will run a normal weekday timetable on December 29, 30, 31.

With thanks to owner Graeme Scarlett on 'Busesnortheast' Facebook Group:

SB07JSB has now returned to JSB after a 3 months trial
V470EBF (OS4) will be used on the 17 from tomorrow
V499EWV will be used on the Bishop Auckland Tesco service
A further Solo has been purchased and is due shortly

He must have changed his mind as the Primo is on the Aycliffe 17's today.
RE: The Eden of West Auckland
As I reported earlier Primo MX06AEA was on Aycliffe 17's.

Ex JSB Solo V470GBF was on the ASDA Free Bus

To me it makes more sense to use the Primo on the 17 as it is newer than the Solo and looks better too, it may mean they are more likely to keep the contract for the 17 where as the Solo may make DCC think otherwise, although when I took this photo it was running around 10 minutes late.

RUNNING LATE AGAIN? Seems strange Jimmi that nearly every time you make a post you end with the service was running 10 minutes late?  maybe you should introduce yourself to one of The Eden's Drivers and ask for a timetable, perhaps it is you who has the wrong time, iv'e found you can set your watch by them.

I've had a ride on both their Primo and Solo, both seem to be good buses clean and well presented and the drivers are the most friendly Ive come across in years.

I happen to have the timetable for the 17 and it states that it should have left High Barn Road at 1231 and I didn't see it arrive at the West Cottages stop heading back to the town centre until about 1240 so not far off 10 minutes late then. If the times are indeed wrong it is likely to be the fault of DCC or the Eden for publishing the wrong times in the timetables available to the public, although I have seen it arrive back at the Town Centre on-time so they are likely to be correct.

I never said there was anything wrong with the Primo or Solo, all I said was that the Primo is newer than the Solo which looks better than the older Solo being used and I'm am not saying anything bad about the Solo I am merely stating that the Primo is newer.

I have not used the Eden's services that often but when I have used them the drivers have been well presented and very friendly.

Also you clearly glossed over the post I made praising them and I stated many good things and rounded it off by saying that I wish they operated in my part of the town.
