I'm wondering if the allocation of two Pulsars is deliberate, as they tend to be the 1607 (57) and 1645 (56) out of Durham... it certainly helps with the peak loads mind...?

It's ok while they've still got excess Pulsars I guess... not sure whether they'll be able to do that once all of the cascades are sorted. Unless they can short change another route!

It seems to be a constant scratting around for suitable buses. From the responses I've had, the depot are aware of the problem and are trying to source bigger vehicles (or more deckers as they put it) for peak times. I appreciate that these do not grow on trees, but I don't think they'd allow the problem to go on for so long if they had competition on the route.

The Solos are clearly unsuitable for anything but the skeleton runs, and only last week was a peak 57 I used having to turn away passengers as early into the route as New Elvet. An all too regular occurrence I've found.

There's definitely a lack of deckers in our fleet - I think cascades from London this year (as mentioned earlier) should be able to rectify this to some extent, but there may have to be some hard decisions need making in order to set out a way forward!

Crikey... The use of capital letters here is definitely justified!

Given 1415's allocation to the X12, I wonder what has been allocated to the various services at Durham which 1415 is usually allocated to? Tongue

Next Jesmond might take a leaf out of Belmont's book and actually allocate 4515-4522 to services 52/53  Tongue

Some weird goings on today like, Ashington managed to allocate 7518 to the X21/22 as well! (still on there tonight, should be heading through Bedlington towards Newbiggin around now)

The bloke who was on allocations when that was allocated try's his utmost best to get the allocation right.

The only time when 7518 should be allocated to another service is when there is no deckers to use on the wrong service.
