With regard to 16839, this vehicle was withdrawn owing to Chassis Corrosion, but the engineers at Sunderland were subsequently able to repair it. As for it being in reserve at Walkergate, the fleet allocation card on the mbonwick site, shows it as being reserve/spare at Sunderland, or are you suggesting the Official Stagecoach Documents are also incorrect.

I'm unsure if they've transferred back or not, but I don't think their return from Walkergate was noted; if it was, I didn't see it. I don't think it's really fair to accuse South Tyne Lad of suggesting the official documentation is incorrect.
The loan of the two Volvo Olympians to Walkergate was not noted on Stagecoach North East's official Fleet Allocation documents either, though photos on Flickr and sightings noted on this forum certainly suggest it did happen last month, unless we are suggesting that all of the photos were digitally edited on Photoshop and those who sighted the Volvo Olympians in Newcastle are deluded?

As the temporary loan was not noted within the Fleet Cards, the return was not noted either. However, as I live near the Stagecoach Sunderland depot, I am able to confirm that at least one Volvo Olympian is back at Sunderland, as I saw it last Sunday when heading to the rally at South Shields...
