Taken off a few hours ago, apparently. On the bright side, I am (finally) getting a ride of one of the ADL Enviro400s...

Darlington Town Centre is always awful on weekends which is why I often avoid it.

Whilst I was there today some girls who must have around 14 stopped me asking if I'd buy fags for them.

Bit peeved it has been taken off as I abandoned a large amount of photo taking in different places in the hope of getting a photo of 2843. Oh well got a few odd workings whilst I was in Darlington and two of the new Stagecoach Enviros whilst I was in South Shields.

RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2015
YJ11GHG I understand is the one at Ashington. I wonder if they are moving our stuff out of Thorntons as they need space for an influx of vehicles from London....??

The Sapphires aren't due to start service from Durham until October, however I understand 1531/2 will help to provide extra cover on the 22/24 (and probably other services!) over the summer season whilst the roadworks in Durham boost their PVR - we are providing extra resources on 22/24 (PVR +1), 56/57 (PVR +1), X12 (PVR +1), 64 (PVR +1). I understand 1524 + 1 other are to be used at Blyth to help provide cover whilst their Gemini fleet gets sorted.

Once they go into Durham for service 6, there should be a movement of standard Pulsars from there to Stockton to remove the majority of the DAF Cadets from service there. I understand 5 of them will be kept however this is yet to be confirmed, and indeed which ones are staying - no doubt it'll be the worst ones!

Had the pleasure of my first ride on one of the Arriva B5LHs in the form of 7801 on the 308 to Whitley Bay, I wasnt a fan of the Low Roof as I smacked my head off the roof as I made towards the rear of the upper deck, I was highly impressed however with the amount of Leg Room these B5LHs had compared to the GNE Examples on the 21, seats were rather comfortable also and it was quite a nice journey even though I was getting hacked off by the amount of times it exited onto a Slip Road to serve a Bus Stop along the Coast Road.

God don't. Wish it could be like the 58X non-stop down the Coast Road to Newcastle!

Would probably cut around 5 to 10 Minutes off the Journey.

But would probably not make any money if it didnt go up and down the slip roads.

True but it would be nice to have a Limited Stop Express from Blyth to Newcastle via Whitley Bay & Coast Road.

Well there was nout wrong with the 44 bar the fact that:

- It served Norham Road and New York rather than Billy Mill and Lynn Road and as a result, didn't make much money.
- Missed out Hillheads which would've boosted the income of the 44.

If they had've done this with a PVR of 3 or 4 minus the Hazlerigg to Newcastle section, the service would've made enough money to be sustained:

- Haymarket, St Mary's then fast to Willington Square then fast to Norham Road / Formica, then observing all 308 stops to Park Avenue, loop around via York Road then down to Marden down the Broadway following  clockwise loop via Hartingdon Road, Ennerdale Road and Farringdon Road before going back up the Broadway to Whitley Bay and Newcastle.
