Doubt it cause Arriva have standardised the E400 for a few years, So will probably go with the E400MMC anyways.
Arriva Yorkshire trailed a E400MMC a few months ago on the 110 ( Leeds-Kettlethorpe ) before it received Euro 5 E400s .
Though I don't know how it got on there.

1902 has disappeared out of Stockton's yard, presumably gone for scrap.

Does anyone know why four Arriva buses including a sapphire double decker were parked up in longfield schools car park this afternoon? I was told by a friend who spotted them there at around 2pm.

Yup it was the annual Arriva inter-depot football competition again today, with teams joining us from Yorkshire again. Wakefield won, if anyone was wondering!

Mixed thoughts on this one.

I'm all for free travel being extended to students, or at least a heavily subsidised alternative; such as the 90p singles in Tyne and Wear.

Can't help think what it is going to do to the X12 reliability though. Durham Uni and now East Durham college all fighting for a free seat on that bus. Not to mention the full to the brim Solos on the 56/57/57A during peak times.

I could do, and used to when I lived at Washington. Used to help me avoid the inevitable delays on the morning 50, due to parked cars round Rickleton and Pit Lane on the school runs.

The only problem with that is I like to leave at 4...

Don't forget New College Durham students as well. It's is good that this is being offered although I dread to think how some services may cope at peak times.

What when services start to reduce for the night around 6pm, think it through Tongue
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2015
It's nothing different to what we have already existing with college students in Stockton, Middlesbrpugh and Redcar who already benefit from free travel to and from college. This just replaces the free coaches that were (until last week) operated by Lee's and Snowdons

Durham 7 boards
I believe that Durham have 2 boards on the 7. Anyone know which workings they're on and start/finish times? Also can anyone advise on the boards that start at Bishop?

Due to the Milburngate Bridge works, Durham currently only operate 1 board on service 7 with Pulsar 1523 transferring. The board and bus should transfer back once all of the roadworks are finished.

Normally Belmont have two boards on service 7 but because of extra resources being required due to the Millburngate Bridge roadworks Belmont are only doing one board at present with Darlington depot picking up one of the Belmont boards until the roadworks are complete.

These are the weekday Belmont 7 boards departure times from Darlington and Durham Bus Station.

Durham Bus Station
1: 0822, 1052, 1322, 1552.
2: 0714? 0952, 1222, 1452.

Darlington Town Centre
1: 0937, 1207, 1437, 1712. (first journey starts at Newton Aycliffe Town Centre at 0715)
2: 0837, 1107, 1337, 1607.

I have marked them as 1 and 2 just to show the times that board leaves Durham and Darlington it doesn't mean anything else. Also there may be earlier and departures than I have given as I am not 100% on departures on mornings and afternoons. Also Darlington are presently doing one of these two boards (unsure which) until the end of August I imagine when the Millburngate Bridge roadworks end. 1523 has temporarily gone to Darlington for this time.

Not 100% on Saturday boards but I think one of them leaves Durham Bus Station at 0937 so just add 2 and a half hours onto that to work out the rest of the day.

Don't believe any 7 boards start in Bishop Auckland or run on something before dropping onto the 7.

Ok thanks, very helpful. No, I was just meaning any info on the boards that start at Bishop - I know none of the 7s start/finish there.

I do believe that the Extra running board on the 7s that Darlington are operating at the moment is running board 7C, when everything goes back to normal it should end up being like this

Darlington
7A/B/D/E/F/G/H/I

Durham
7C/J

Hope this helps

Quick update on this - jumped the gun a bit as its inside with engineering, donating it's engine to 1912 I am told. Likely that'll be one that is staying.

It has been sold to Alpha though on the latest list.
