At least you have your degree now, while it ain't an absolute guarantee of employment, you are in a good place...

Biggest regret of my life was not going to Uni in 2008, had 2 conditional offers, 1 from Teesside and 1 from University of Ulster to do Youth and Community Work, but was advised by my mental health team to not go through with as I was quite fragile at the time and my addiction was at it's worst at the time...I wish I went for it tbh, I had a plan of going to Belfast and working with cross community groups to finally end the hate and help unite communities once and for all...guess some dreams just aren't meant to come true Sad

Hopefully something comes up quick, i have a few application forms to fill in.

That's a shame, that a personal battle blocked you from going to uni, why don't you apply now, never to late, i seen a lot of people aged 60+ when i was at uni. (not saying you 60+ haha)

If I wanted to get back into youth work, I would go down the NVQ Route, I talked an NVQ assessor a few year ago and she was saying I would find it easier doing my Level 2 and 3 NVQ as it is more practical than classroom based...

The Youth Group I was involved with shut down in 2010 as we lost our funding...

I am in a better place now I am on a treatment programme, if I get through this ok, my mentor who is also a recovery co-ordinator has told me there will most likely be opportunities to become like a mentor to recovering addicts, but I have to be at least 6 months clean, lately I have struggled to go 6 days clean...But, I know the opportunity is there to work towards...I am a bit of a fantasist at times, not a Walter Mitty type, but I do have good ideas that is hard to see through if ya know what I mean lol

There is nothing wrong with ''that thing''. Some of the pigeons I've seen up in Stanley, that lurk around the bus station like chavs, look like they've just been released from prison!

They are just looking for love. All the ones at Chester-le-Street do is lurk around waiting for somebody to buy a sausage roll from Greggs so they can steal it!

Wait around Greggs... I usually see families of pigeons performing mass-kamikaze dives on the folks exiting the one in Stanley!

Thats because they have found love and their first date was for them to go in and buy them a sausage roll. They have their reasons!

If you have a computer or laptop and go onto the photostream or camera roll pages it should display how many photos you have on the right next to your username.

Not sure how if you are viewing on a mobile.

7505. Had it to and from my hospital appointment, absolute beast. Accelerated rapidly, and smoothly, and apart from a tiny bit in Ashington, was on time throughout both journeys, never thought I'd like a 57 plate Enviro this much :') fantastic vehicle.

(25 Jul 2015, 8:48 am)Jimmi wrote 4814 is my steed up to Sunderland this morning on the 21/X21. Quite possibly the best EcoCity at Darlington. At least I am not deprived of WiFi unlike my other recent 21/X21 journeys.

It's the worst one out of that batch of ex-demonstrators, if you ask me.

Had it from Sunderland to Trimdon recently and I didn't enjoy it at all - 4812/13 are far superior in my opinion. I've had a ride all the way to Darlington on 4812/13 and not had to squirm about to get comfortable, but the seats are so hard on 4814, I regularly found myself moving around. In addition to that, it felt slow on the A19 (compared to 4812/13), and the Wi-Fi didn't work on my journey either (I tried it on three different devices).

Even the e-leather seats on 4801 - 4811 are more comfortable than the seats on 4814!

Last time I had 4812 on the 21 for a short journey up to Sedgefield it was making a buzzing noise which meant it sounded like we weren't going to make it up to Sedgefield so I was not surprised to see it had later been replaced by 1799.

4813 has no WiFi.

4814 I admit the seats aren't as comfortable as 4812/4813 but unlike 4813 the WiFi usually works for me if it wasn't I wouldn't be posting right now. I would still rather have 4814 than one of 4801-4811 as I think they are slightly slower than these three.

4811 the WiFi Didn't work the last time I had it.
