Hodgsons, Barnard Castle
A new arrival for Hodgsons is Plaxton Elite HC14BUS which appears to be replacement for Panther HC10BUS which has gone to Plaxton's in part exchange. Another new arrival for the front line tour fleet... after the 63 plate Panther (in Newmarket livery) a few months ago!

I had HC61 BUS on my school trip to France last year. Hodgson's have done it for us for a few years now; there's also one to Germany and I think on the other school site (school's split into two sites) they do the trip to Spain and the one to Italy as well as a few humanities things like Geography field trips (e.g. Welsh Mining Towns). They really are a great company.

I think the Hodgson's livery looks really smart on that little guy. Wink

Thanks! Didn't know it was even with Hodgsons until I read the legal lettering, as even when I was practically right in front of it, I couldn't tell it was on the 79A, it looks more like it says 71A from a distance.

Rather ironically, I had both the bus and the driver to and from school today! Had it for quite a while, at least last September, they have others rather similar including ex-Eddie Brown R55 EBT (in base livery without vinyls) as well as a 57-reg and a 60-reg, though this is the only plain white one! The worst bus would have to be Vario PO51 WNP...recently had a touch up repaint in the back corner after Mr Hodgson himself caught it turning around while on our way home...had the bus been a little longer I would have met an untimely end with a lamppost!!!
RE: Hodgsons, Barnard Castle
I was not aware they had such a high spec fleet and are quite local to me but never see any of their vehicles locally they must do a lot of Continental work and long distance runs.

The Neoplan was new in 2011, here is Hodgsons other new coach this year, a Scania bodied by Higer in China. The Scania in Mr Pottski's link is a Omniexpress https://www.facebook.com/505479056306792...35/?type=3&theater

Indeed, I see the services on a daily basis and S24 BUS has been the regular allocation for quite some time now!

Hi Peter

Not sure who provided you with this information but it is incorrect

HC60 BUS became NJ60 HCG before it was sold on to a new owner, as of today it still hasn't been rear ended by a lorry

Oh right...not sure then, just presumed the information I was given was correct! So I assume that was sold in favour of the Mercedes Indcar??
