(17 Sep 2016, 5:14 pm)Malarkey wrote I heard that Go-Ahead as a whole are going to create a new company called "Go-Ahead Bus & Coach", in order to sell on old vehicles much like Ensign and Arriva do, they new side of the business will also be used for Vehicle Repaints/Refurbs so that Go-Ahead won't have to outsource to other companies such as Thorntons, Hants & Dorset Trims and Blackburn Bus & Coach to name a few.
In regards to new orders, my lips are remaining firmly sealed....I guess you'll just have to sit tight for now with your popcorn at the ready when at home on NEB, and armed with your Camera when down at Saltmeadows pitching a tent wanting first photos of the new vehicles.

If it ain't over 13 years old and worn out, it ain't going near stanley's express or 6!

Not sure where else they'd go, but I still feel as if they're a decade too young to do this!
If the Coaster got buses of the TEN though, it would mean Percy Main only having 1x spare decker covering a PVR of 30 unless some B7 Geminis also got transferred including 1x to Deptford to release 6100 to Percy Main.

Stanley, Consett and other outlying areas suitable for these at all. Will fit perfectly on the Crusader.

I wouldn't have thought the B5s could come off the angel until at least September 2017 anyway, given that they are 62 reg?
(18 Sep 2016, 8:08 am)Jimmi wrote A theory I have for B9's is, the examples currently used on the Ten will remain on the Ten's however I think that three (or whatever number is needed to fulfil the current PVR) of the B9's off the TTX will become branded for the Ten, unsure what you'd do with the remaining examples, possibly spares for Riverside and/or Washington. Goodness knows what you'd get for the X9/X10, StreetDeck's?
(18 Sep 2016, 10:18 am)L469 YVK wrote I think the TTX Geminis will go spare. Had a thought about them going on the X30/X31 but given some other potential single decker cascades this year, I don't see why the Omnicities would need cascading. The stanley expresses should be the same brand with the 6 inclusive. Especially since they cut down the X30/X31 route. The toon link idea never struck me as a good one. They share the same vehicles at some point on the timetables so is odd to keep them separate brands.
I think out of all the B9 routes that it will be the Cobalt Clippers getting StreetDecks. GNE weren't going to fit them GKN mods for no reason and at the time of ordering, there were no suitable lightweight alternatives bar the Enviro 400 (no relationship between GNE and ADL).
But looking at the StreetDeck, the amount of fuel saved in terms of Percy Main's cost base would mean that if B9s went on the Coaster, the cost base taking the fuel savings into account would be the same if not, marginally higher compared to currently taking into account the extra capacity plus potential growth that the B9s would generate on the Coaster.
