RE: MetroLink (Manchester)
For anyone who's interested the next openings in this order I think are:

The link from Trafford Bar straight into Old Trafford Depot, the only way into Old Trafford Depot at the moment is from the SML (South Manchester Line)

Then hopefully Queens Road Station which replaces Woodlands Road

After that it just leaves both Rochdale and Oldham Town Centers to Oldham sometime next year

Also in other Metrolink News the go ahead has been given to build the new 2nd City Crossing of which preparation works for the movement of various public utilities has already started especially on Corporation Street
RE: MetroLink (Manchester)
They have just started testing in Oldham Town Centre and are hoping to have both Rochdale and Oldham Town Centres open early 2014.

Also the current service pattern for the Ashton line is through trams from Bury (the Ashton service being the former Bury - Piccadilly service).

RE: MetroLink (Manchester)
The tram priority at interchanges and traffic lights seems great - maybe at the expense of buses though.

Seems much faster cross-city then the original route.
