The five running boards on services 6/47 today have been allocated 6126, 6138, 6127, 6125 and 6130. So yes, all wrongly allocated bar 6138.

5248 and 5451 also allocated to services 45/47/X71 today, in place of Red Kite branded Volvo B9TLs.
5249 also allocated to services 15A/46 today, in place of a Red Kite branded Streetlite.

5240 replaced 5411 earlier today on 45/47/X71/15A.

(20 May 2017, 9:19 pm)Rapidsnap wrote Geminis are around 14ft 4in.

But when the 301 went through Dunston many many many years ago, they used Olympians and Tridents on the service and they passed under the bridge at normal speed. The only buses they had to crawl under the bridge with were the 14ft 6in Atlantean, but they still got through just save for any unlucky pigeon that would happen to get startled and get squashed between bridge and bus.

Mind had to admit I did get a fright on the Gemini when I did hear a bang which turned out to be a tree branch that the bus hit right before the bridge.

3941/2/3, 3962/3/4/5 will fit under, just.
Any newer Gemini that have wifi fitted will, officially, not fit under due to the wifi pod on roof.

I have taken a ten Gemini through a few years ago, whilst on diversion without a problem, and several times since used 6084 on 49 without a problem.  The problem is that the road was resurfaced a couple of years ago, and the wifi pod now catches the bridge, but only if you have the bus to close to the centre line. Company policy is not to allocate these any more.

(22 May 2017, 5:26 am)randomdude wrote So, are all Go North East buses now equipped with the new ticketer machines?

No - just Riverside (7th May), Percy Main (14th May), and Deptford/Peterlee (21st May).

Chester-le-Street, Crook and Washington to go live this weekend, with Stanley being the final depot to go live, the week after.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2017
St Bede's PM 831 now runs off the 14:45 30 from Stanley, hence the 15:10 from Lanchester no longer running. This does mean that it is likely that the bus will always arrive 'late' (after 15:10) into the school, unless it runs early.

Although, i think we all know that the X9/X10 are likely to get new buses.

Honestly i think it'll be the Angel, X9/X10 and Red Arrows (they currently have 5 and 6 year old B9's) which will get new deckers but that's for a new thread!

Yes, so I have been told, Volvo B5TL's apparently.

How many Solo's have been branded for Metrocentre Mini as I have seen only one (714) while out today and the other M Services I saw were 5249 and 6127 which were on them in place of the Solo's

All 5 (710-714) should have been branded. I know 713 has definitely been branded (along with 714 as you have said).

(23 May 2017, 4:05 pm)Rapidsnap wrote Are anymore Omnidekkas due from Brighton. Heard that Percy Main are due two more to replace the withdrawn 3890 (Turbo) and 3891 (Chassis).

Yes - they were originally due for the revised Toon Link services, but Brighton & Hove are now unable to release them until their new buses arrive (middle to end of next month). Will now be allocated to Percy Main for the DFDS services, for fleet standardisation.

3890 isn't withdrawn yet to my knowledge - its operators disc has just been donated to 6009 which has recently transferred in from Stanley. The recent PVR increase at Percy Main means there isn't many spares, these days. 3891 has been withdrawn due to a fault with the rear axle. It is subject to being reinstated depending on whether this part is salvageable from any of the withdrawn Tridents or not.

Dan, does an option for "Tantobie" actually exist in the displays for M6 trips on Sunday? I've only ever have seen them on for Crookgate.

I've also noticed the new "Delves and Consett" on the V1, I think it looks good.

It has a Newcastle reg.

Do other Go Ahead depots across the country have Newcastle reg plates or ones local to them?

Were the Volvo B9TLs at Stanley or the Mercs at Washy registered in the same place that they ended up?

I would say it's likely that they are GNE, but it's speculation until confirmation 😛

No, they don't. But it's common knowledge why they don't...

Something I've never understood is why most of the buses delivered new to the North East with 63 plates, start with NL instead of NK, for example: Fab Fifty Six and Cobalt Clipper B9s, Drifter StreetLite's and Arriva's Sapphire Pulsar's 1512-1523. Anyone know why this was the case?

'Newcastle', have the NA-NO prefixes attached to it.

NP-NY is allocated to the Teesside area.

Not sure on the specific reasons or how they're allocated.
