Wouldn't be surprised if this was every 10-12 minutes?, just due to the amount of ex London deckers coming up.

RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2
Well, I've also been and done some figures on the MPG based on the following.

Cobalt Clipper MPG on service 310 (plus X39 / occasional 309 workings):
Volvo B9TL: 6.5 MPG
Wright StreetDeck: 8 MPG

Castles Express MPG (plus X46 workings)
Volvo B9TL: 7.5MPG
Wright StreetDeck: 9 MPG

In terms of the above, the actual costings would work out as below.

Volvo B9TLs on Cobalt Clipper & Wright StreetDecks on Castles Express (Monday to Friday)
Volvo B9TL @ 1249 Miles = £1164.02
Wright StreetDeck @ 1135.62 Miles + BSOG = £595.90

Wright StreetDecks on Cobalt Clipper & Volvo B9TLs on Castles Express (Monday to Friday)
Wright StreetDeck @ 1249 Miles + BSOG = £752.39
Volvo B9TL @ 1135.62 Miles = £793.74

The total saving for one days work (Monday to Friday timetable) including BSOG would come in at £213.79. Multiply that by five and that would come in at £1068.95. And if the Saturday and Sunday journeys were also taken into account, the savings would probably be even more. That alone would most likely cover the wages of the extra few drivers that would be needed if the 309 / 310 were to run standalone most of the time plus other costs. Would be a win win situation with passengers on the Castles Express benefiting from better reliability and passengers on the Cobalt Clipper also benefiting from improved reliability as well as extra journeys during the evenings too.

The 933 has been a sitting duck for years. Emmanuel College kids often skip an X70 to get on it Mon-Thursday (I can confirm this from my EC days) due to it being cheaper (they charge like 60-90p full route depending on how the driver is feeling on the day).

I wonder how they will counter the problem though, since the 933 often follows the route of an X70 from Sunniside, terminating at Tantobie rather than doing what it's meant to and turning right down to Rowlands, since nobody ever uses this connection and there's no pickup from Burnopfield Post Office to Rowlands.

Sorry if my post was confusing, I'm talking about the concern that most the scholars travel along a non-existent portion of the 933, and the bus therefore doesn't go to Rowlands Gill at all, since no passengers want to.

If GNE were to operate, they'd be expected to stick to the route, therefore cutting off extra profit from it for the people travelling on it to (albeit incorrectly) Burnopfield Co-op/Pickering Nook, rather than going down Busty Bank at Post-office.

They're used to picking up the pieces after picking up work from operators who go off route to suit getting back to their depot on earlier.

They are getting the 17:08 departure from GCT not the Scholars journey by Stanley Travel.

Aye. If the X70 could be knocked back 10 minutes later, it would make for a good solution (it arrives at 1557 from the Lobley hill stop currently I believe). Could also knock X70 back 5 minutes and make it run via EC turning circle. Either that, or just operating to Pickering Nook on 933, then turning left onto hobson, turn around at Crookgate and then proceeding to Rowlands Gill. Although a lot longer, it would probably be the best from my eyes.

Some ideas from me anyway.

It has to Winlaton on the registration, the ST one terminates at Rowlands Gill.

I think the 90/933 must come of the 23, even more so considering JH operate a 90.

Yes, they're two separate contracts. One does a 23 all day and a peak-time 90, and the other does a 23 all day and a peak-time 933. Go North East have been awarded both (2 PVR).

I thought short runs were still under the longer contract length, but I'm not up to speed on the notation.

There's a Little Mix concert at Gateshead Stadium that evening, so it could be for that. A route description of X would make sense, if there was a shout-out going  Angel

The 500 and 501 are for one day cricket (England v Australia), and I assume the Q3 are extra buses going from Eldon Square/Haymarket towards St Peters Basin, for the Great Exhibition of the North.

I know the 33T is running every 12 minutes.

Generally there's not set times on P&R, there's a set number of vehicles allocated to each P&R location, they're loaded up and sent off frequently but not at a set time. Means they can send more buses to locations that need more buses due to them being more popular.
RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2
