Transferring to jesmond 7410 is already there been on all the great north road routes(sapphire 43/44/45) today
7411 is still to transfer on the X7/X8 today

Belmont's 7520/21/38
Blyth's 7616
And redcars 7424
All went to jesmond today
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2018
1413 has been repainted and branded for the 22/23/24 and was out on the 43, this afternoon.

Meantime, 7518 was covered in snowflakes.

None. Returning to Belmont today.

In other news; 1498 returned from refurbishment on Thursday, with 1465 taking its place at Bus & Coach World. Similarly; 1413 returned on Friday, with 1466 taking its place. Four now back at Belmont having been refurbished.

Doesn’t look the streetlites will be getting the new sapphire livery as I’ve seen one of the streetlites with the 22/23/24 along the side

I've seen a few today - I prefer them like this, although I hope they've actually rebranded all of the StreetLites rather than leaving them in the disastrous state they were in beforehand with at least one being solely branded for the 22 with the rest for 22|24. Some of the Pulsars have also been redesigned with the new route branding yet remain in the Sapphire livery.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2018
Think it's a bit silly leaving them in the old livery though? Especially when some of the buses on the routes are in the new livery with the new logo. Looks messy to me.

I agree. It really makes me think about just how much Arriva actually value their route branding strategy if they don't repaint the current vehicles on the route to match the refurbished vehicles joining them.

Same story at Ashington with the X21/X22 - roughly a year and a half in with the E400MMCs and still no sign of the 14-reg E400s being repainted to match.

It's obvious that Arriva don't value their branding at all, and it's a shame they won't rebrand the StreetLites but obviously their marketing budget won't be as much in this region. At least they've actually added the 23 to the branding now with the 22 and 24.

Should swap the remaining Streetlites at Belmont with the 3 sapphire pulsars at Darlington (1514/15/16) on the 7, the 3 that are unbranded at Jesmond (1479/1512/13), then send the last remaining streetlite to Redcar in exchange for (1440).

Would result in a full pulsar allocation on the 22/23/24.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2018
1483 is the first of Durham’s MAX Pulsar to have received X12 branding

Expected to release a Pulsar to Stockton in order to withdraw an SB120.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2018
Does anyone know what else has left Ashington when the 4 Yorkshire E400s transferred there apart from 7414/5?

Is the official allocation of the 306 now a mixture of B7s and Pulsars?
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2018
Christmas and New Year info for Arriva in Tyne and Wear and Northumberland now available on the Arriva website.

Includes a handful of Boxing Day services similar to last year.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2018
Apparently the drivers in the South of the region have balloted for strike action.

Last ditch attempt to prevent it in a meeting between Senior Managers and Trade Union representatives tomorrow, but failing that, likely before Christmas.

Any reasons given for the vote?

Yes, I'd heard that too. Believe they've turned down a 3.5% pay rise?

There was a ballot held on Wednesday 21 November 2018.

677 entitled to vote in the recent ballot
525 voting papers returned

0 spoilt/invalid voting papers returned
525 votes cast in the ballot (77.5%)

Question: Are you prepared to take part in strike action?

Yes - 499 (95.0%)
No - 26 (5.0%)

Looks like the last X12 from Newcastle hasn’t ran tonight. Medical incedent on 1482 has held it up at Eldon sqaure, police and ambulance in attendance with someone recieving medical assistance infront of the bus

Second ambulance now coming in

Currently on £9.50 an hour, 3.5% rise takes that up to £9.83. Would you drive a bus being responsible for possibly 80+ peoples safety for that?

Although to be fair, new starters at Ashington/Blyth/Jesmond get £9.09 an hour for that..........
