Only real change is the 23 is only going to be Thorney Close to Holmeside this is due to unavoidable time constraints associated with the length of the pronounced diversionary routes until around 1900.

It’s only for 2 Sunday’s. Passengers can change to E2 or E6 for Fulwell.

Tbh they had no choice, it was either let it run but with massive delays and gaps in the service or cut it to keep it on time.

A few year ago they ran a shuttle service during the 10k. My grandad will be stuck in the house on those days now.

Buses on services 9, 20, 35A & 56 will be diverted while the Southbound lanes of the Wearmouth Bridge are closed for works from 07:00-19:00 on Sunday 16th & 23rd May.

Service 9 will not serve the bus stop at the Wheatsheaf, please catch your bus at the stop near Tesco Extra. Buses will also be unable to serve the stops on St Mary's Boulevard, please alight at St Michael's Way.

Service 20 will be unable to serve the bus stop at the Wheatsheaf. Please catch your bus at the stop near Tesco Extra.

Service 35A & 56 will be unable to serve bus stops between the bus gate on Southwick Road & St Michael's Way. Please catch your bus from Southwick Road near Barnett Court.
